Did you know, Cedar Bog is a National Natural Landmark? It is one of only 23 in Ohio.
The plaque reads:
This site possesses exceptional value as an illustration of the Nation’s natural heritage and contributes to a better understanding of Man’s environment.

Another interesting fact: The rock the plaque is mounted on is one of the oldest types of rock in Ohio. It is Gowganda Tillite which is estimated to be close to 2.4 Billion years old.
