It is with great sadness that we have learned of the passing of Ralph Ramey. Mr. Ramey was the consummate naturalist, conservationist, teacher and student. He was a past Chief of the Ohio Department of Natural Resources, Division of Natural Areas and Preserves, one of the founding members of the Cedar Bog Association and past Board of Director. He was very instrumental in the preservation of Cedar Bog and Glen Helen Nature Preserves. He was a friend and mentor to many including past Cedar Bog Site Manager Terry Jaworski. Mr. Ramey’s passion for the natural world and his efforts to preserve it will always be appreciated and never forgotten.
