The Queen Has Arrived!

The Showy Lady’s Slipper Orchids are starting to bloom. As of this morning, 5-27-2021, there is one in bloom that is visible from the boardwalk. Please remember, ALL visitors MUST remain on the boardwalk, no matter how tempting it may be to try and get a better picture. There are or will be plenty of the Showys within a few feet of the boardwalk. Getting great pictures is easy if you are patient and look for those that are closer.

Don’t forget about our Orchid Walks coming up this and next weekend, Sunday, May 30, 2021 and Saturday, June 5, 2021. CBA Volunteer Naturalists will be on the boardwalk to talk with visitors and answer questions from 12:00pm – 2:00pm. Admission is $5.00 for adults and $4.00 for students ages 6 – 12. CBA and OHC members are free.
