UPDATE

May 19, 2020

All educational events through the end of June are now cancelled. This includes the Moth Night scheduled for May 23, and the Orchid Walks scheduled for May 31 and June 6.

The Annual Membership Meeting is still tentatively scheduled for June 13 at 2:00pm. We are still trying to figure out how the Covid-19 restrictions could affect the meeting and will have more information as this date gets closer.

The Nature Center remains closed. The boardwalk is accessable Wednesday – Saturday from 9:00am – 3:00pm. There are NO restrooms available. Please be aware of all the rules and regulations regarding using the boardwalk.

The next 6-8 weeks are usually some of the busiest here at Cedar Bog. The Showy Lady’s-slipper Orchids will be coming into bloom in a couple weeks, with other orchid varieties following. If the parking lot is full, please consider it closed and visit us another day. DO NOT park in the grass. Common courtesy and proper social distancing must be practiced at all times.

Please remember that Cedar Bog is a Nature Preserve. Everything here is protected by state and federal laws. Venturing off the boardwalk or into restricted areas is strictly prohibited. Also, littering is completely unacceptable. If you bring it in, take it out with you – this includes cigarette butts!

Please do your part and help us keep Cedar Bog open to the public.
